Job Description-CIK Telecom is one of the largest telecommunication companies in Canada, offering High Speed Internet, Digital Home Phone and IPTV. CIK is registered as a licensed carrier with the CRTC (Canadian Radio-Television and Telecommunications Commission) since 2003. CIK headquarters is located in Toronto and has offices in Montreal, Vancouver, and overseas. We are looking for friendly, responsible, enthusiastic, dynamic and detail-oriented individuals to join our Technical Support team.
Job Summary (Intermediate Technical Support Representative): Our Intermediate Technical Support position is responsible for providing technical support to customers and troubleshoots with staff and helpdesk to resolve various technical issues.
Responsibilities:
Support and troubleshoot VoIP, Cable/DSL internet and IPTV systems
Develop a strong understanding of company products and procedures
Strong customer service and analytical skills
Communicating with customers to solve technical issues
Develop ongoing solutions for use by other technical support analysts
Developing strong understanding of CIK products and procedures
Assisting other departments to follow up any customer issues
Complete some VOIP/ Data service related project
Assist manager on some big projects
Training other technical support
Maintenance VOIP Phone and Data service system
Other responsibilities if assigned by management
Qualifications:
College diploma/degree required
Fluent writing & speaking skills in English
Energetic with excellent communication skills and positive attitude
Previous experience working in a customer service setting an asset
Available for a flexible working schedule
Telecommunications experience would be an asset
Knowledge about DSL, Cable CPE
Be familiar with SIP/H323 and soft switch system
Be familiar with network knowledge, VLAN, MPLS, OSPF, BGP, IS-IS, QOS related solution
Other languages would be an asset
